"Beautiful place, but poor service experience The place is excellent, very traditional Mexican with many cultural elements and customs. However, for people who are not used to seeing symbols related to death, such as altars, skulls 💀, and similar decorations, it can feel a bit shocking. The food was very good, and the atmosphere was lively with many people. The music was at a reasonable level that allowed conversation. The non-alcoholic drinks were delicious. Unfortunately, the service was poor. The waitress who attended us was very unfriendly. We asked if they could sing “Happy Birthday,” and she said it would cost $6, which I agreed to. We waited more than 10 minutes, and by then we had already finished our lunch. Even the dirty plates had been cleared, and we were still waiting. In the end, I had to cancel the request because nothing happened. The waitress’s attitude made the experience difficult and unpleasant. Honestly, I just wanted to leave because of the way we were treated. I don't think it's my style of restaurant."

"I can’t say enough great things about La Fortaleza, located in Carlstadt, New Jersey! We hosted a school event for our Spanish classes, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, everything was handled with care, professionalism, and a warm, welcoming energy. What truly stood out was how amazing they were with our students. They were patient, respectful, and made each student feel valued and comfortable, which meant so much to us as educators. Managing a large group of students isn’t always easy, but the staff made it feel completely seamless. The food was absolutely delicious, the space was perfect for our group, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish.
